    Valve stem seals

About 120 hours on an '04 RXP motor. Taking the head out for the second time, replacing the valves with aftermarket.

Should the valve stem seals be changed? It says in the manual that the seals should be replace every time the head is removed. Seems excessive. I figure I should do it anyway though, don't want to go in there again.

Anything else I need? Obviously new bolts and head gasket. All ready did the oil jet too.

Now what are you up to? you going for high rpm or an overbuilt 8200?

Are you replacing / refinishing the valve seats?

Just trying to keep you guessing, that's all.

Adding ferrea's and riva retainers - going for the overbuilt 8200. although a certain somebody keeps trying to convice me to change the ecu, but i won't give in!!

Thinking about taking the head to a machine shop to get a valve job. Figure it can't hurt and it's not expensive at all.

My seals on my wifes ski started to leak at 135 hours. SO IMO you need to changed them as they are cheap.
