    Riva power filter question

On the Riva site they say you need to also change the impeller to a higher pitch one if you use the power filter kit.
Those of you that have used the filter, is it true? My RXT will be stock except for that. (for now)

not true, but gains will be much better with new pitch prop.

edit: i should add that i gained 1mph with just the filter on my ski, then gained 2 with the addition of a new prop and wedge

RXPkid is right... the filter is a great addition by itself. You will gain about 1mph with a noticeable improvement in acceleration. But, to fully benefit you need to add pitch. This can be done by changing the impeller or adding 2mm to the one you have.

you will benefit even without the prop, but the prop is a great addition to the power filter kit better acceleration and top speed.I ran the riva filter without the prop for over a month and i noticed a difference.and the whinning sound was nice too you could actually hear it breath better

OK so how do you add pitch to an existing prop? What's needed to do this? Or who can do it?
