Ebay engine rebuilder, anyone know him?

Has anyone dealt with this guy on ebay?
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Seems he is using top quality parts, at a decent price. Just curious of anyone else has any experience with him. Hate to send $1100 and my engine to a stranger.

    Thanks

It says HOTRODS, I called and he said he is using HOTRODS connecting rods, but the crank is OEM.

I would have to say BS.
Find somone else to build you a motor. Check with WFO; he knows these motors well.

    Why do you say BS?
    Who is WFO?

Why would he use an OEM crank with aftermarket connecting rods? Like selling a Corvette with a ford transmission in it.
Check my sig for WFO's website. He can build a 2 stroke in his sleep.

Maybe to keep the costs down? A HOTRODS crank is expensive.

I emailed WFO, we'll see what they say.

His add says only the block is used, everything else is replaced. If that is the case, he is rebuilding the crank or having it rebuilt. I can be way offbase, but I can't see getting replacement OEM Yamaha crank parts, only a complete crank. With that being said, if this can be done that way, why trust a crank made of parts from different manufactures? The crank is the heart of the engine. Do you want it done right, or cheap?
Warrantys are great, but what is your time to remove and replace worth?
Do some research before you go with the lowest bidder. Good luck.
