GP1200 Crankshaft inspection with pics
So I have the crankshaft out of 65U engine and am going through inspecting it. All the bearings spin nicely without noise or roughness, but they do seem to have a little play in them. I was told they should be tight. the crankshaft spins nicely in the case otherwise.
Also this area here where the rear crank seals ride seems a little roughed up. It looks worse then it feels. It feels smooth but I can also feel a little dip in the surface in that area. Is this a problem and is there a fix?
And this rod seems to have a little heat discoloration. Doesn't seem to terrible but is it a problem?

No rust inside the bearings them selves. Just on the edge of that race. Looks like that rear crank seal collar is available by itself. I think I might try to get one just for my own piece of mind.
I was taking a closer look at the drive coupler and i suspect its not supposed to look like this.
Might not be a problem but I think I'm gonna look for another.
