    winter storage tip

    Folks:

When you lay up your ski for the winter, take a ball of steel wool and place it in the exhaust outlet.

This will keep the mice from entering the exhaust system and making a nice winter home and plugging up everything........

Don't ask me how I know that this is a good tip..............

That works and dryer sheets also work to for keep mice away. Good tip thought and sometimes over looked...
On my cr500 I didn't plug the exhaust and have a nice nest in the pipe by spring lesson learned.

I have never had an issue with this, but better safe than sorry. Thanks for the heads up. Will be putting the Steel Wool into the exhaust from now on.

Also take your Scer out and back the lock nut off..this will help save your spring washers from getting weak while sitting through the winter months...

I'm gonna do all 3.... Then I'm gonna Pack every open area of the motor with steel wool and dryer sheets...

All BS aside, this is a good idea. Think I'll try it...
