    07 RXT help...

Have a friend I go riding with. Says he has alarms (beeps?) go off when he nails it and takes a while for ski to get going. His S/C has 100 hours on it. I'm sure it needs a clutch rebuild but would this also cause an alarm...He calls it an alarm, probably a beep noise right? He has s/s washers.
If any of you think it may be something else let me know.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to you all...

He does not know what kind of washers for sure but he believes they are stock. He had ceramics and they grenaded. He says he is going 30 mph nails it and it loses power. He has work the throttle to get back up to speed.

Hey now Steve. I will ask him but I do not believe any codes. Does an alarm go off when clutches slipping?

There's no alarm with slippage, I agree with BeerDart, sounds like limp mode. He check the oil level? Could be a sensor, Jason (PsychoRXP's) ski was doing that intermittenly, it would beep and go into limp mode, turned out to the oil pressure sensor.

I would suspect limp mode for oil level. It will throw a code and say low oil on screen most of the time.

Thanks guys. Not sure if it is throwing codes. I will ask. This guy is completely clueless when it comes to mechanical issues. I am not familiar with newer SeaDoo's. (I have an oldie)
Would he still be able to get up to 50 mph in limp mode? Last 2 rides he took were on the ocean so didn't try to go faster. I was with him on one 3 weeks ago when he say's it started happening. Wish he would have said something then so I could've got a look.

Thanks again and will post more when I talk to Hawk. Thats his screen name on SoCal website.

It shows no codes he says. He says it just beeps. It's a 10 second thing and then he is running again. When it happens he is going 20-20 mph and nails it. It starts beeping and rpms etc. drop down to nothing then it comes back up in about 10 seconds. I figured would throw a code if in limp mode and would need a reset? Or pull of lanyard and re-start? But this is not the case.

Again thanks for the help guys. This guy (ski owner) is in real estate so he's had a tough coupla years. Trying to diagnose and fix it.
