    1st 4-Tec rebuild questions

Is there a master "To Purchase" list out there on what gets replace? With all the bolts, gaskets etc. that will be needed.

    Thanks GH in advance!

    Depends on how deep you are going to dig. Basic list;

    Rocker Arm Bolts
    Head Bolts
    Head Gasket
    PTO Gasket
    Main Crank Bolts
    Flywheel Bolts

    If you have alot of hours and want to refresh the motor, change the following;

Front and rear Oil Pumps (Covers, rotors, shafts)
Bearings (Rods, mains, balance shaft) Rod bolts will need to be changed.
    Piston Rings
    Timing Chain
    Valve Seals

And the most important - Rebuild the supercharger.

    Good Luck

I thought only the 04 and 05 fly wheel bolts needed replacement.

Once you split the cases, the flywheel has to be removed and the bolts are not reuseable.

Yes, fly wheel bolts are one time use!! Its in the manual. I just recently did a complete rebuild/overhaul on my engine. Hears what i did:
    Rocker Bolts
    Head gasket
    Head Bolts
    Valve seals
    Valve job and head decked
    Timing chain
    Flywheel bolts
    Rod bolts
    Rod bearings
    Mainbearings and thrust bearings
Balance shaft bearings and thrust bearings
    Inspected and polished crank
Front and rear oil pumps replaced (cover, inner roter and outer roter)
    Water pump seal
    New riva .010 pistons
    Bored and honed block
Think thats about it may have forgot a thing or two but thats most. Allsaid and done ive got over $2000 n the rebuild but its better than new and runs like a champ so far. (only 3 hrs on a charger will be turbo a of spring)!! http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...io-turbo-build!!

You will have to balance the crank if you are using carillos.

Obviously Jerry is a good source for a lot of these items but what about bearings, rings, timing chains etc.? Has anybody had good luck with SBT?

You can leave it in place. No reason to remove the flywheel if you don't want to. Just mark the CB and crank on the back side and when you replace it use the new marks.
