    Kawi 1987 js550 newby

I have come over from the Polaris Side (don't kill me), I currently race a Pro785 limited R/A in region 5 here in Texas, and I always wanted to get into the stand ups for me and my 11 yer old son, I just purchased a 87 JS550b that runs great, with the following mods,
1987 kawasaki js550 bored .30 over, wiseco pistons, high compression head, 44 mil mikuni carb, all new red silicoln water and fuel lines, west coast alluminum water box, muffler removed, primer kit, alluminum nose hull rienforcment, quik steer, aftermarket handle bars, jetsport ride plate with r&d 17 degree stainless solas impeller.

My first question is, should I change it to a finger throttle? or leave it alone, it has a thumb throttle,
On my racing skis I prefer the UMI finger pull throttle and I love it compared to the old thumb style.

    any other suggestions from anyone??
    Many thanks and standing by,
