Removing a sealed 5200 pump shoe
Hey guys, I need to remove my sealed pump shoe and I need to know what is the safest way to remove the shoe without cracking the hull. I found a small drip coming from my shoe. My tunnel was reinforced with 4 layers of fiberglass. The fiberglass came apart on the passenger side towards the bottom. Inside of the tunnel looks ok. My second question is: Can I remove the fiberglass around the pump tunnel???
Thanks in advance,

Nevermind, I got it out. Appears to have a small crack beside the bolt hole. It looks like I should be able to repair. Does anyone have a technique for removing the reinforced tunnell???

I was going to say use a heat gun to remove the pump tunnel shoe. As far as the fiberglass, probably a nice dremel tool with a sanding block on it. Sand away till you reach the hull? Just an idea, but I guess you already figured it out.
