    Cool Cayman Island TURBOCHARGED GTX

    I'm new to this forum but I thought I would share some info on my little project.
    I'm into motor racing mainly drags but I recently bought a Ski and decided to turbocharge it with the supercharger in place . I've done this setup before on a car years ago so I'm
    assuming the same results.

    turbo of choice is a stock VF-23 I took off my car "subaru sti" before I upgraded to a bigger one. The ski is a stock 2003 185hp gtx.

    So far everything looks good I started the motor and it sounds raw but awsome
    I'm presently doing up the fuel system, I dropped in some 510cc injectors and will be installing the
    fuel pressure regulator later.

    How is the set up going to work? The turbo is feeding the charger?

    So you have the turbo lag + the HP loss from running a SC, that sounds smart,

    Just a good tip, you have to have the downpipe above the waterline , or you will get water in the turbo, or you rotate the j pipe and get the turbo above the waterline

    I would have to agree, even thought it's a cool project and not telling you not to go through with it, I still think that you would benefit more from a good sized turbo that spools up with minimum lag. In your case though, worst comes to worst you just re-route the turbo to your intercooler and delete the supercharger.

    I did some mods to the fuel system and also added a set of 510cc injectors.
    After starting up I had it idling a bit then realised I had a water leak in the intercooler so I'll take it out and have it repaired.
