Smile Just bought a tunned rxp.

    Hi guys.
Just bought My first 4 stroke and first seadoo, own yamahas prior to this. Have some questions to you seadoo guys. The ski is a rxp 2005 with 67 hours. it was tunned by wet spot performance ( Miami) back in 06, 07.The owner claims that the ski have ported head, supercharger, ECU, CAM, rods, exhaust, air intake.
In 06, was the valves a known problem, did the valvetrain uppgrade exist? Thinking of pull the head to see what it looks like, if the 05 valves are still there. Do you have any other advice?
The owner couldn't specifie parts, only that they were uppgraded. Shall be interesting to see what actual parts are on the ski.

You don't need to pull the head, the old 05 valves have a different number on the valveshaft, just above the Valveretainer, just pull the valvecover and check the last 3 digit from that number

    Thanks Malte.
Annother swede answered me first, go figure.
It is a small world. It's a shame that I live so far (Gävle) from you Malte. Could need some help tunning this ski and figure out what parts are on it.

The seller told me that he had run 78-79, but a friend had gone 81 with it on GPS.
But it was a couple of years ago.

It sounds like the guy doesn´t have been on this forum to much. This was the list of mods I got from him:
    Racing Pistons
    Racing Rods
    Racing Camshaft
    Ported Cylinder Head
    Racing ECU
    Racing Intercooler
    Aftermarket Ram Air Intake
    Aftermarket Exhaust
    Water Box Modification
    Aftermarket Spoonsons
    Racing Supercharger
    Aftermarket Impeller
    Boost gauge

But he couldn´t specifie parts further. Thinking of contacting Wet Spot performance and asking what they think. Of course they cant remember the ski, but they maybe can give some input, the ski was tunned 06, so much of the parts we see today was not out then.

Are any of the above things listed present on the ski. Sponsons, ECU, exhaust, intake, and Boost gauge? These can be visually inspected. The things I listed are the easiest to find. To check on the valves, you need to remove the valvecover and look for the numbers on the end of the valve. Any pictures of the inside of the hull you could provide?

Don't have any picture. But Will provide one as soon as I receive the ski. But that Will take a couple of months. Think that the speed number feels ok. The supercharger and alot of the other stuff must be early stage 3 and then CAM and pistons, but they should provide mostly better hole shot and acc, rather then topspeed I think.

Now the ski has finally arrived. Have just looked on the obvious.

    Racing ECU = Rotax racing
    Aftermarket Ram Air Intake =R&D
    Aftermarket Exhaust =rear Riva
    Aftermarket Spoonsons =Riva
    Aftermarket Impeller
    Boost gauge
The ski also an R&D nozzle.
    OPAS block off.

Please look at the pictures and tell me what you see. Do anyone know what hood I got on the ski, and the injectors is it possible just to tell by the picture and the orange circle what injectors are on the ski?
What is your guess when it comes to supercherger and intercooler regarding the age of the other parts, and where metal washers and the valves an issue back in 06?

    Thanks for all your input.

ok, thanks, there is a crack in the plastic behind the hood, the one that the chrome parts are bolted to. Maybe the ski was in some kind of accident earlier.
    Must buy this plastic part.

Stock injectors, well thesse days it sounds little strange to run stock injectors with an aftermarket ecu, but probably the supercharger is not putting out so much boost as newer ones. But was told by the former owner that he saw 10 on the boost gauge.

I can, but not untill tomorrow,
R&D was typed on the nozzle, what do you mean with modified?
