    installing motor in rxp

when i install the new motor in the 04 rxp hull, do i have to strip it to install it? i have been reading posts on removing and installing motors but still am not sure about this. i would rather leave as much stuff on it to not screw anything up. looks like the supercharger wouldnt be a big deal but i would rather leave the intake and exhaust on if i could. anyone know?

oh, one more thing. i dont have a engine alighnment tool. the motor is outa 08 gtx limited and the hull the motor is going in is a 04 rxp. the motor mounts and shims have not been touched in the 04 rxp. would the block bolt up in the same alighnment? has the block castings changed from 04 to 08?

You should align it. As for unbolting things, It can be done with everything together but it's real tight. Much easier to remove the intake to avoid breaking things.

to get it out of the gtx the intake must be removed, or the hull must be cut to pull it complete.... It will gointo the rxp with everything on...but I recommend pulling the intake mani.... Good luck.... Search my name and "swapping crashed gtx to rxp"....I did the same swap in april...find mythreD and check out the pics and info....
