Anyone running pump pressure reliefs on the SHO or FZ? What speeds are we good up until we start needing them?

There is a lot of useful info on pressure refliefs in jerry's build tread starting on page 37.
I also found some pictures at the bottom of this link that may help http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...light=pressure

Running them in my SHO, more for peace of mind. I actually have them because I used to run the R & D ride plate with Jim's cut. Now I am only running Jim's modified stock plate.

Thanks SHOdude. I'm gonna have the transom plate off my FZ here in a few days and I'm seriously considering tapping it for some reliefs to see what happens. I've read some people in the past have picked up some speed on other platforms but I don't know what to expect here. It's gonna be a C1/R1 setup so not a tremendous amount of pump pressure but who knows?

Hey Bill, I don't know if you will see any gains or losses for that matter. I don't really want to get tossed so it's more peace of mind for me having them there.

I know of a couple of very fast FZRs and they don't use pressure relief - with C1 you shouldn't have any concerns with over stuffing the pump
