Can some one point me to instructions to replace the steering cable on a 250x

Hi as the topic says I'm after a step by step instruction for dummies 101. I have searched the forum and can't find something - sorry if it is a repost.

Hoping there is a link to somewhere where a remove and refit instruction type manual that has been done before.

    Thanks
    Dave

Replacing steering cable is straight forward, no tricks, just helps if you have the Extended socket for the external brass nut. Once you disconnect old cable all will be reveiled as to the reconnect of the new one.

Hi I downloaded a manual from here -

    http://www.readmanual.com/jet.ski/ka...ice.Manual.htm

It was $7.75 - so far it seems Ok.

    Thanks again

Yeah front section is a little awkward. Need to have solid step to stand on while accessing linkage via the removable cover in front of the ecu.

What size socket is that ,13mm, 14mm?

Has anyone used the SBT cable, as they seem cheaper than OEM by about 30%? or should I just stick with OEM?

Thanks, I will have a measure up across the flats somehow to confirm, and get a 21mm socket cut in 2 and weld a tube between the 2 parts - Special tool.

    OEM part on Order
