Air Intake on 2004 RXP
I am currently running the original Riva 3 " air intake with other mods. Would it be worth switching it to the new rear air intake.I do well with the RPM's in cool weather and the 81 ring but in the heat of the summer with the 84 ring I struggle to get 8,000 RPM's. Our lake water temps in July could easily reach 90 degrees .

What kind of riding do you do??Heavy surf/chop or river/lake? If your running in heavy surf or alot of choppy water i dont recommend the rear air intake. You risk the chance of water injestion into the Scer which can cause major damage..IF you run in these conditions then you can upgrade to a 4 inch Kanaflex front air intake.....
You will see around a 100 RPM increase with this setup over the Rivas and you dont have to worry about water injestion as you would a rear air setup..BUT If your running light to little chop then yes the rear air IMO is the way to go..
