Opinions wanted on a new car!!

Narrowed my new car search to these 2. Comments, opinions, anything.....

    Option #1 -- 2007 Subaru WRX STi

Option #2 -- 2004 BMW 330ci ZHP OR 2004 BMW 330i ZHP, either would have around 30-40K miles

I am a driving enthusiast above all else. The STi performs amazing. The BMW handles like a dream, looks amazing, but lacks serious power.

Well, if we've learned anything from this forum its "if it can be modded, do so!".

What are the prices on each car?

    Love the avatar...great movies.

Prices for either would be around 32K OTD

I'm factoring in warranty, reliability, maintenance. I doubt I will do any engine mods to either. The cost to get additional power out of BMW's is out of this world.

I'd get a mustang gt and load it up...spend about $25~27K. Put the $7~5K I saved in performance parts or interior upgrades.

While I do think the new mustang is Fords best effort yet, it handles too poorly. I also don't see myself owning an American car anytime soon, if ever.

I would roll with the Subabru all day long out of those 2.

Subaru, but ditch the fugly wing.

BMW's are like mercedes, theyre "me too" Cars. "I drive a BMW, ohhhh Me too"

Subaru looks bettr to(less the wing)

I agree with you. Most BMW owners are probably like that, but there are those that appreciate the performance. A 3-series is truly the "uber-sedan". For its segment nothing else compares.

Then again the EVO and WRX owners also carry a stigma or being "ricers", etc. It's how society is.

A modded WRX sounds bitchin', even at idle.

I just rode in a friends modded BMW M3 four door sedan, which they don't make anymore... at 150PLUS it didn't seem to lack any HP. I got to drive it around town for a few minutes. It certainly is more of an open road car, but I dug the paddlewheel shifter and the ultra responsive turning and lack of body roll.
