hi everyone...just got back my reconditioned 14/22 prop ,balanced and set back...I understood from Impros I needed welding on the leading edge and if pump stator vanes need welding they can do....I have 4 or 5 of these gouges on almost all of the 6 vanes...nothing too blown out just sort of like the pics.......is it worth fixing, are these small enough not to cause cavitaton and or inhibit performance...thanks

Its hard to tell from your pics but generally broken stator veins is from cavitation... If you look at the veins and their pitted its from cavitation burn.. Ive gone thru 3 in the last 2 years...

I definitly sucked up rocks in a moment and knew I had done damage....prop got chewed but rode another month this way(10 hrs) featherng the throttle on take off...would have finished me for the season if I had sent prop out right away to fix....yep maybe stator was not damaged but continuous cavitating caused "burnng" on the vanes...will show more pics....

Dave smooth out the rough edges and you will be fine, those are not bad at all.

Thank Bill,PR...I took a metal file to smooth out the rough edges...yeah in the "searches" I've seen some monster blow outs or rock damage/cavitation burns...so this should be no biggy...
