    Intake grate:
    Small bolts 5.9 ft lbs
    Large bolts 12.5 ft lbs

Ride plate bolts 12.5 ft lbs

When you've got the PDF open for the service manual press CONTROL and F at the same time. This will bring you to the find field where you can search the whole document based on exact phrases such as "intake grate". You'll find it in 2 seconds

All intake grate bolts are 40nm or 29ft/lbs. Ride plate is 17nm or 12.5ft/lbs

    Hey guys, be careful.....

He has an SHO - the intake grate is ENTIRELY different than the FZR. Intake grate bolts on the SHO are as posted above - NOT 40nm. Front is 8nm; Rear is 17nm.

    Good luck!

Use the torque specs I provided for the FZR. Also, I would use red loctite on the bolts. Riva and R&D recommend blue but red is stronger.

I would NEVER use Red loctite on the intake grate or ride plate. In fact, personally I do not use any loctite on those bolts. Just check them often. Never have lost a plate or bolt in over 20 years of riding. Just my opinion.
use the link I left above for the torque values. www.sholibrary.com
