You mean AFTER intercooler, and BEFORE exhaust manifold?

I wouldn't know. I've heard pretty bad stories about that particular IC ballooning, so I've avoided it.

I have seen 3 of those new ICs broken at less than 10 hrs when run with open loop kit (with supplied 9mm pump restrictor)
That s here in Thailand and you know those 3 boats, just ask the owners. Unfortunately they were not covered under warranty, but were offered to be replaced at cost price.
A friend of mine had his gen2 welded and reinforced with a stainless steel casing so it wouldn't swell and leak again, but it broke again...

My Fizzle XS IC is still fine after 80 hrs in mostly salt-water (and I am running a custom 10mm pump restrictor with my Riva open loop).
It s actually my 2nd XS IC, I change them at about 80 hrs because they are quite affordable, and because I am just lazy to clean them, almost no corrosion at all.
My friends make fun at my "Chinese" IC but it works fine for me...

    Make your own opinion...

Yes, Riva Gen 2 is Stock X IC.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for your info. my IC Gen 2 was broken again on last Saturday during race with Mr. SAM, so my engine oil like a milkshake i flushing oil two time for clean the engine. I will make a pressure relief valve for adjust relief pressure at 30 psi for prevent IC balloon.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
why would your engine oil look like a milkshake from a leaking intercooler? sounds like a head gasket issue.

When your pushing water directly into the cylinders your mixing it with the oil through the cylinders...kinda like when you sink a ski....

I bet the oil cooler failed as well from too much water pressure. Thats usually the cause of milkshake unless the boat sank.
