    Well,
for one, you will trash the pump. Note how short all the viens are in the 14 vein pump. If you cut out half of them, throw it in the garbage.

To a racer, the 14 vien is invaluable. To the grudge racer you will find on the boards, it's not worth much.

If you want a brand new 05-06 pump, I'll BUY you one and you can send me that 14 vien. I'll use it!

The magnum pump series from Skat was designed for low-end and rough water hookup. It ROCKS in the rough water.

Side by side, I've seen the 14vien leave ANY other pump off the line, and up to mid-range. Top end, the edge goes to the 6 vien stock pumps. I wish Skat would make a SST 6 vien pump. I'd take one.

As far as your setup, what kind of Prop are you using?

    Woah big fella!
That's too much prop for ya!

Call up Dave at Impros or Carl at Island, and tell them what your setup is. If you think you can run a stock 14/20 Dynafly, then check out Jerry's prices here. Make sure to use your greenhulk discount.

That 14vien will come alive! Don't even ride that bad boy with such a tall screw in it. You could easily lug that engine down!

Also, upon installation, crawl under the ski, using a feeler gauge and verify the prop to liner clearance on it.

The only other thing I can tell you is about engine alignment. Boats that have the internal shaft aligned properly to the engine put a lot less stress on the final drive bearings of the pump. The skat is actually MORE sensitive, and will burn up bearings much quicker. If you can, verify your engine alignment to that internal shaft.

Hey, if that is a near stock GP1200R then the 14/20 will definately need pitching down. You need to shoot for 7000rpms or greater.

If it's a 13r, then you should be able to turn it stock. If not, one of the above mentioned guys can bend it for you.

I wouldn't think a 15/21 would be that that far off, I think there may be a different problem other than the impeller

I'd start with the power valves or the Cat if you still have one installed

is this a completely stock GP1200R - what motor mods do you have - then we can tell what your rpms should be with the 15/21

    a stock gp1200r will turn a skat 13/19 7150 - that would put a 15/21 at 6950 (and not 6600)
