Oil in Drive shaft cavity
I have a gprxp conversion ski. It has a 2005 rxt motor in it. I pulled the motor out to do some updates on it. When I pulled the drive shaft out the back of the motor, I noticed oil was dripping out. Is this normal? I know there is a bearing seal there, so I am assuming its to lubricate the bearings. Does that cavity get oil in it or do I have a leak on a seal from the motor? And I am sure I will have to replace that clamp that holds that bearing in place. Its on the drive shaft right now. Does it sealed bearing come out everytime when you pull the drive shaft?

On a seadoo motor this is normal...No need to worry..As far as the bearing what some of us do is silicone the bearing into the rubber boot..then use a hose clamp on it..it usually does the trick..
