    Just bought an RXT

Just bought a new RXT. I love the thing. I'm breaking it in. Short 3/4 throttle bursts (5 seconds ) and full RPM range? No WOTs yet. Hope this is right because that's what I'm doing. When is it safe to give it WOTs for short burts?

I started nailing the throttle on mine after a couple hours. Only for 10-15 seconds at a time

Yea - I'm having a great time with it. Finally got it up to full speed. It's a fast one. Radar clocked it at 71. I guess that's about right for the RXT. Definately faster than my GTX. The only downside is the second job I'm going to need to pay for the gas. But it's worth it. I have to find a dealer in CT to get the first service done. The shop I bought it from is horrible.

71 on radar? I haven't heard of a stock RXT going that fast before.

It was digital and your probably right. Everyone on the site is averaging around 65 stock. It's still not bad for a rig this size. The digital speedos on the ski seems way off. It's showing mid 70s at WOT. Might add stage one after my first service. Not sure yet. Might catch the "Mod Bug". How hard is it to remove OPAS. Don't like it much. My GTX didn't have it.

That was the first thing I did on my RXT. You will notice a HUGE difference in performance and handling.

I purchased them and had the dealership do it for like 75 dollars.

I'd get a garmin etrex legend gps... around 140
great for cruising and trying to find the nearest gas station

damn... he got one of them rare speedos that reads over 70mph.... i want one.

my RXT has been running a consistent 66-66.5 on GPS...

had an awesome run 2 days ago... when i tell you virgin water, NOT EVEN A RIPPLE!! no wind, no current, very very shallow water and slick as ice! air temps in the 70s... she was f'n pullin!! went out just at sunset... was kinda gettin dark and i snaped that throttle lever and had my eyes GLUED to my GPS... 66.6

i have never seen or been on a water condition this calm in my life, it was heaven, and the GPS reading only made my hard on that much harder
