    R2 on stock motor

I have a completely stock motor and want to install a reflash (R2) is this a plug and go type of thing or do i need a powershot etc. A reflash is good for 4-5 mph right?

Depends on what you have, what mods and ski do you have?

It will give you slightly higher rev's and slightly more boost. You really need to do the basic mods to make use of the reflash also. remove the ribbon from the intake and put a free flow exhaust on at least and possibly an air intake modification. these are all firly simple which you can do yourself if you have the means and time. you will not benefit from the reflash without at least doing these first. then you will see a remarkable increase in speed and power. there are lots of posts about all of these things. see jerrys posts at top of main page.

My ski has a few mods and it showed a 1-2 mph diff. The problem is if you are using a tall (oem ) impeller, your rpms will be limited. In short, even though the R2 gives your the potential for higher rpms, you may not see it until you change the impeller. You definitely want an aftermarket tach that holds the max rpm, this way you will know if you have to change the impeller.
