    advice on r@d rideplate

I have just sealed the transom on my FZ, I see when I put the rideplate back with 1 shim the plate just sticks out under the bottom of the pump. Is there anybody using the ride plate with no shims ? any sugestions?

i had the R&D ride plate on my fz before, and in order to use it with no shims at all i had to grind down the pump and nozzle for it to clear. it was faster with no shims..
