    tougher timing chain

    does anyone make a tougher timing chain for the 4tec motor
    after breaking mine noticed it has stretched a bit before letting go
    little bit of wear on the block but not to bad

    IMO if you are stretching/breaking the chain you have a problem.

    i do mainly ocean riding ski has 150 hrs rude 2 ,8800rpm ect for the last 80 hrs after having a read through some old posts i`m not the only one to have this problem with the seadoo`s

    if you get a tougher grade chain your gonna start breaking/bending other parts. better to replace a chain rather than something like a crank or cam.

    I snapped a timing chain on an 06 RXT with mild mods. I rode it very hard in the ocean and it let go at 84 hours. I wish it went till 150 hours. No one really could tell me why it snapped. One theory was hitting the rev limiter over and over (by becoming unhooked) stressed it to the point of breaking. I heard they used stronger chains starting in late 06.
