    oil separator question

Would an oil separator like the one shown below work in place of a catch can? I want to keep the system closed, so I thought I could insert this in between the valve and the 4 inch intake I am building.

No need for it the be closed. I use a air compressor filter with the out-let open as a catch can. Any cyclonic(Or any container) bowl will work as a catch-can.

Just trying to minimize fumes in the hull. Would the setup above pose any issues or just be redundant? I don't expect much in the can with a stock x charger and riva pistons, just thought it would be better than none.

I got less then an oz after riding all summer with B-Wheel aprox 30 hours. It all depends on the health of the motor.
