Weights of 1300 pistons
Does anyone know the approximate weight of the various 1300 pistons, either with or without rings? Wiesco, OEM, ProX? I have one here and it is actually lighter than an OEM 66v piston, which seems strange. Was going to run a Wiseco taper wall wrist pin to get the weight down to 1200 levels, but it doesn't look like it's going to be necessary. Thanks

I bet WFO, Hydrotoys, OsideBill, Beerdart, Fercho, Woody or Lowell will know.....

so with the less reciprocating mass of the Pro X`s does this means faster acceleration rate?

Woody's also included the bearing, so that could account for the 30g difference. I don't have one here to check.
A stock 66V piston w/ clips, rings, and pin weighs 509gs. The pin alone weighs 105gs.
I see Wiseco uses a shorter 63.5mm pin (vs the OEM 68mm) in their 84mm piston, which weighs only 70gs. If the pistons are the Pro Lite versions, I bet the whole assembly is quite a bit lighter than stock.
