They won because nobody could be bothered.
The 800 Outlander would smoke the 800 Sportsman.

I think Tiller should give our group the Sportsman 800 and all the units they used when they test against the other manufacturers and let US do the duel for everybody.

Before I make my next statement I'd like to say I own a Kawi KFX700, Polaris Predator, Can Am DS250 and another I won't mention.
I bring this up so you don't think I'm a Polaris Only quad rider.
The Sea-Doo/Kawi/Yami dealer I just bought my 250 from let me test the new Renegade 800 (basically same as the Outlander) and showed me a few little issues.
The new single up the middle frame takes a beating against the rocks and the ones I saw for repair were pretty bent up.
The Kawi and Yami with much less power made it over the rocks from a crawl better and faster than the Can-Am (it takes a little while for the front wheel to engage).
Now I'd of bought the Renegade but not for 9K plus!
There are no Polaris dealers near me so I won't buy one of those either.
Don't like the Kawi or Yami 4 wheelers
I'll have to look at a Honda
My point is I don't think it's a slam dunk beating of the Sportsman 800. I'm sure they all have their strong and weak points and depending on what's important to each rider, that will be the unit purchased.
It's not all about the numbers that make a good quad. I still think Tiller should let US test all the units against his 800 and see what we conclude.

I didn't. I just can't get past that friggin price tag!
I was going to replace my FX700 with the Renegade, give the 700 to my wife, Conrad the Predator and Kelly the 90.
Instead I decided to keep my kawi, bought the 250 for Conrad but mom took it, so Conrad is on the Predator, Liz is on the 250 and Kelly gets her brothers 90.
I saved 6K, almost enough money to pay for the new Ultra.

sweet yea they are pricey sooner or later i'm still gonna get the outlander 650 2 rider on in camo then put a full out skid plate on it caus ei have been reading on this 4wheeler forum there putting on the skid plates and they say they are 10times stronger

That's a good thing to know, I saw at least three that were bashed pretty good and that single bar being hammered bothered me.
Like I said, had they brought the price to within reason it would have been a go. The way I see it, they saved me money and allowed me to buy another toy. I can live with that!
