    need help think riva injectors problem (sequel of riva ecu from classified section)

    Hi all, and thanks for the help about the riva ecu.

    This thread is about my engine running on Two cylinders....


    First I thought it was the spark plugs that needed a refresh change them, start the engine runs on 3 cylinders.

    Very happy, I go in the water with it start the engine goes on 3 cylinders for about 5 secondes then go back to Two cylinders.

    Toke out each injector sensors to see which one is no good. found out it's the first one .

    to make sure it's the injector I toke it out and I put it on the middle cylinder to see how it work, samething the one in the middle doesn't work.


    Do you think I have one injector no good ? The guy who is servicing told me that it's because the jet runs too rich it goes on two cylinders. he tried with the 38 injectors and the riva ecu it was running good.

    So wouldlike to know if I have a bad injector or if it's something else.

    I feel race starting the 30th january and the jetski not ready....

    Wonder if I can buy one Riva 50 injector on classified or try to buy a 3 48 injectors....

    you can pull the fuel rail keep the injectors in the rail...lay the whole rail on a towel..and turn it over and see if it is spraying.

    if it isnt

    put it in another cylinder and see if it sprays there..

    if it prays in another cylinder...if it does it isnt the injector it is electrical...

    if it doesnt spray in another cylinder either the injector is bad..

    if you have an injecor service on the island they can probably clean and flow them..

    the thing is that it's working with the 38 injectors... but I'll try what you said

    check for corrosion on the pins in the injector..could be that simple...

    where the plugs go and makes the electrical connection

    pull your injecters out 1 at a time.
    lay a clean WHITE paper towel on a table
    get a glass of gas handy
    pour a tad of gas in the top of the injecter
    gently tap the injecter upside down

    there is a filter in the top of the injecter

    yes they do get clogged haved it happen several times.
    customer blew an engine up from a clogged injecter.
