What's the difference between '03/'04 GP1300R's and later models?

Noticed that R & D separates '03/'04 GP1300R's from later models. Many parts/upgrades are listed for '05's and up. The throttle bodies are the same, as are nozzles, impellors and shafts. Did notice impellor ducts different. What else is there?

    Thanks.

03-04 is a power valve motor with a non "ho" pump. 05-08 is non pv motor with ho pump. 03 has 1200 style brass top hat hull inserts where as 04 fwd has the 1 piece inserts. Gauge cluster on the 03-04 is blue am its black from 05 fwd. The non pv motor has a different elbow riser on the exhaust which is tuned different than the 03-04 to make up for not having power valves. I think thats everything..

    That about covers it!
Electronics slightly different as well-05 and newer can have a remap, 03-04 can,t. This also means the 05 and newer generally don't need a bypass chip when running a d-plate.
    Also 03-04 have a 85mm exit nozzle, 05 and on are 87mm.

Might be different in the states, but over here in europe they changed from the 85mm to the 87mm when they went to the ho pump.
Im pretty sure they did in the states as well, but obviously you being over there will know better than me,

I have a bone stock 03 in my shop rite now and it has a 85mm nozzle on it.. Anyone else have an 03 with an 87??

Maybe on the 04 gpr with the 4 blade? I seem to remember my 04 having an 85 as well...

hmmm, maybe that`s why R&D suggests using the 87 with their upgrade kits...

Yamaha website shows same exit nozzle part number, 60T-51318-00-94, for all years of GP1300R's.
    I'm confused. (What's new)
