    Wave Jumpers

Had my first minor hiccup with my ski from wave jumping. Anyone that jumps waves keep an eye out on the rivets that hold your left and right rear grey guards as my left one fell off yesterday. I had noticed 2 of the rivets had walked out a little, i tapped them back in and they where still tight and thought it would be ok but after a couple hours of jumping waves it tore off the gaurd.

I will be drilling all of them out and fitting SS bolts to hold these gaurds ( had to do this on my old GP as well).

After 2 years of wave jumping my hull has cracked, has a 3" crack on the left above the tie down hook (not on it) and the Right there are some hair line cracks, going to look into getting it repaired and strengthing the area, I'd like to fill in that complete lip at the back, even when you lift these ski's from that edge you can feel them bend, was only a matter of time before it let go from the water hitting it after every landing off a wave.

    Been there done that

Cracked mine at the front coming down on the nose.

There's not much worse than parking your ski and seeing fiberglass weave poking through the paint. $600 fix for me at 'mates rates'
