    Smile 15f top rpms

    hey there,
ive got the riva endurance kit installed in my 15f with a stock pump and slightly tickled prop (both in mint condition). just wondering what sort of revs i should be pulling with this kit? at the moment im doing about 7500rpm running race gas. (100octane). ive also done the exhaust and air filter as well. run 65mph gps. wondering if i should be getting higher rpms therefor higher top speed??

    thanks
    nick

Just to be certain, you have the kit that comes with pistons, or is it the bolt on kit?

Im not finished putting it together yet. if you want to you can read my build thread it has all my information in it. I would look at getting a less steep prop and see where that gets you, I believe that your revs are a little low but I am not certain. Check the seal infront of the rideplate.

You have a 15F so it is a dream. Only so much hp to the shaft, you can drop the rpm and hope for better top speed or you can drop the pitch to add rpm for a better hole shot. Try pushing it from behind Don't waste more money, buy a faster machine instead. Think about it 215 hp with an RXP will do a bit better than 70...............on a good day.

Me too, but it would be nice to have electric trim for poppin wheelies-that's one upgrade I'd buy!

I disagree, there are several people who have made it really close with stock motors. I know of at least 2 that have made 68.5 or 69 on gps. its all about making all of your parts work together, anyone can bolt on a kit but to get the most out of it you have to fine tune everything.

I would go through all the 15f projects and read up on what can be changed.
