2000 gp1200r Water trapped between hull
Just wandering if any of you have ever noticed water trapped between the hull below the motor part of the hull and the keel. when i turned my ski over to paint the bottom of the hull i could hear water slashing around in between the hull. the ski has been upside down now for a couple of weeks its drained over a gallon of water out so far. i was thinking of drilling a few holes under the motor and filling the void with foam like great stuff.

I figured there was other who had the same problem. just wandering were to drill the drain hole on the 1200r. or just start sealing every rivet i can find and the joint where the two hulls meet. the ski is already upside down it would be easy to grind out the joint a little and fill with epoxy or kitty hair or something. i was just thinking if i drilled several holes in the inned hull and filled it with great stuff in all the voids then sealed all entry points. that would be better than the drain.
Foam is a lot lighter than water.

great kink WFO getting some new ideas now. the water issue is always going to be a problem on these skis since ive got the motor out i think ill drill a 3 inch hole under the motor and a half inch hole in the keel and put a s/s fitting with a drain plug in the rear end of the keel.then wile im reinforcing the pump tunnel ill fix the 3 inch hole. also i like the idea of the drains in the runners.
