I just sighned up, and Wow!
What an amazing forum, There is so mush info and help going around here.
I'm just sorry that i didnt stumble onto this a year ago already.
I bought a 95 sl 750 fitted with a 1050 engine (With a broken piston) round about this time last year.
It was in a terrible condition from standing in the sun on the vaal river (Gauteng province- South Africa) most of its life and the front piston did not get oil at some stage and seized up.
Over the last year i have repainted the ski, re-upholstered the seat and stearing cover, and the engine should be up and running by middle february.
Still need to do something about the rub rails (or rather lack of rub rails) and the replacing of the hydro turf, but other than that it should be ready to go onto the water in feb!
I will post a few pics of my project over the weekend.

I look forward to seeing the pictures. There are very few Polaris watercraft that have been converted from the original blue Fuji engines (which was the only engine type used by Polaris up until 1996) to the red 'domestic' Polaris engines.
In addition to the physical size differences of the engine types, the electrical/ignition system is different.
Polaris watercraft sure do show up in unusual places around the world.

Welcome to the Hulk Hentus.
Please post up as many pics as you can. That would be an interesting ski to see.
Also feel free to post up some pics of where you live and ride. It's always cool to see other parts of the world.

Thanks for all the welcome mesages...
No, i didnt do the conversion, i bought it like that.
Hopefully we'll get the 1050 up and running soon, otherwise i'll have to go back to the 750 and perhaps do some mods on that.
At the moment the engine is being repaired by someone who service and repairs jet skis, as i dont have space to work on it.
