    Engine locked up top end has corrosion! how do i remove the engine?

    first the fuel pump now corrosion on cylinders. i removed the head now i want to take the enigine out to go thru the whole thing iam not sure of the bottom end. Never removed the engine need a step by step on how. also have a oil leak comming somewhere in the bottom of the engine not sure if its just a hose or a clamp? can't see under it thats why i want to go over it. I done engines before but never on a jet ski. (bikes and quads 2 and 4 strokes).

    mirrors and flashlights to check all around and under the engine while still in the hull.
    google year,make,model for service manual or someone here may have a pdf for it--

    pull the carbon ring back, remove the c-clip pull the pump, pull the drive shaft, there are three bolts holding the motor down two in the back and one in the front. remove the fuel supply and return, and the oil supply then pul the motor. simple as that.flip the motor over after you get it out and remove all the bolts to seperate the halves of the crank case.

    thanks, that was easier than i expected. took out engine, bottom end looks to be in good condition, top end will need new rings gaskets and the oil leak came out of hose will replace all of the oil and grey hoses. also the starter was my locked up problem order a new one. anybody have the manual link. need it to torque sequence on head and cyl, thanks all help is greatly appreciated

    Iam finally done with the project it looks to be running great, out of the water just got done with it today, i found out where my oil leak was the oil tank is leaking from the seam. need to replace it. Iam not to familiar with the rpm on this model its around1900 to 1950 on idle is that about right or is it to high. the maint light beeps, i have low fuel and low oil could that be the maint beep or is it seperate. the fuel and oil are low beacause oil is leaking and i will need to replace the tank and remove fuel tank to get to it.
    thanks i will be on the search of a used oil tank.

    Get a new oil tank,used ones usually leak.

    I change about 10-12 of them every year.
