Arrow Polaris Personal Watercraft - Google Trends shows decling search rates

Not trying to depress anyone in the Polaris community, but I though some might find this interesting.

Google has a feature called Google Trends whereby you can see the historical (since circa 2005) frequency with which people have used search words on Google.

The following Trends chart for "Polaris watercraft", showing a marked decline each year.
Minneapolis has the highest concentration of searchers

The trend for Polaris snowmobile is also declining, but not as rapidly.

In the first graph, all the Gh'ers are keeping that line up.

Ah, but we are not keeping that trend line up

The downward slope is clear to see.

On the flip side, people generally use Google to find things they don't already know about. Once a Polaris PWC owner finds Greenhulk, it gets bookmarked.

But that is kind of going on the assumption that anyone who researched Polaris watercraft online used the search words "polaris watercraft." For example I recall using the search words "Polaris 750sl" when I initially looked into the topic. Look at the results for "Polaris jet ski".....

Here Minneapolis AND Orlando have an equal concentration of searchers. Those in Orlando didnt even make the list in using the search words "polaris watercraft" but they were high up there searching by "polaris jet ski."

I guess in about 20 years, these skis will be few and far between. Just like an old car company going out of biz..I'm sure some will always live on.. fiberglass will last about a 100 years so we have time to ride still.

Good point, but of course that whats happening ....on a side note if the search was by yr or model for every manufacturer or for that matter it would be the same for anything in the world that is over 7 yrs ago +

Here in the US, Jet Ski is sorta like Kleenex. But yes the market has nose dropped since I started on this forum for sure.

I didnt use google much after I found the forum. I would also assume since the majority of our PWC's are being sold for parts there is a decline in the numbers of them available. Just my thoughts.
