    Angry X charger , injector & impeller upgrade but only 7,000 rpm !!! 2005 seadoo challenger

    Anyone with a clue please a bit of guidance ... I upgraded my jet boat with an x charger , 42 injectors and the impeller i was advised even by jerry (15/22 & wear ring) . She appeared to run sweet but only got to 7,000 rpm when full throttle in the bay (water a little rough ) . Anyone have an idea why this is happening as i was told i should be redlining without an ecu flash ?????

    Yes your rpms should definately be higher than this. Was the X charger new? What was the slip on the s/c? You may have a boost leak somewhere also??

    X charger wasnt new no but i was told the slip etc was checked , not sure what to do or how to check the boost leak etc , will running it like that cause damage ??

    What ski, or boat? Could be just an easy check for any lose SCer hoses for a boost leak.
    But you could very well be over prop. Need to know ski. Please.

    Are you running an external ICer or OEM???Could be a number of things...BUT Im thinking its over propped.... needs some adjustment in that area....

    Stock IC? Even if not the 15/22 is a bit much even on a ski with x-charger and external ic. I have always installed 15/20's on ski's that I set-up with x-charger ,fizzle cooler, 4 in rear air, and exhaust mods and usually turn around 8160. Seems it should still turn more than 7000 though but being it is a boat I dont have any real experience with it but I would suspect it can turn less prop than a ski. Still seems quite low though.

    It's a boat, the engine needs to do alot more work to spin those rpms. I'm thinking something like a 14/19 or maybe a tweaked 15/20 should work out....even a 14/18 actually.....a 15/22 is way too big for a boat.

    15/22 is way to big. You will need a tweaked 15/20 at least. You can probably have the 15/22 modded though.

    Yep, get rid of that 15-22.
    and get to 8100+ Rpm's and your boat will wake up.
