Should I buy the Sea Doo RXT-X 255 or 2009 Yamaha FZS

I want to get the Sea Doo guys opinion. I can either get a really good deal on an RXT-X 255 or an FZS. I have ridden both skis quite some time ago, but I will likely not do more than a Riva Stage 1 mod to either one I buy. I do lake riding and this would be more of a thrill machine to go out and race bass boats, etc. I'm leaning toward the Sea Doo and that is only becuase I know the Sea Doo from owning a Sea Doo GTX Super Charged 185HP. The first or 2nd year it may only stay stock though.

Here is my list of things I am looking to acheive in either model in order of importance.

    1) Top Speed (1 or 2 riders)
    2) Fast Acceleration (0-50) & to top end
    3) Dry Ride (lake chop)
    4) Fuel Use Cruising
    5) Fuel Use Wide Open

Which is better per my needs?

PS: The RXTX 260 doesn't fit in my garage.

I would think that both skis are evenly matched on all 5 of your lists of concerns. I would think that the RXT would be a little more of a thrill ride but the FZS would be dryer.
As for the issue with the garage, get a bigger one.
    Good luck.

Got both. Everytime I go out...............hmmm which one to take off the trailer....... well Yamaha's got 20 hours.....RXP got 330 hours. I'm biased

Does anyone know of any fuel consumption data at wide open throttle?

Also, if you were to put them both on a bouy course and they were in stock form how would they compare?

    Thanks!

Ridden both and the Yamaha was quite boring I was surprized, I wanted to like it but gave me a effect. I think the VXR is alot more fun. I also did not like the guages on the FZS.
