    Options for steering conversion.

Before anyone asks, yes I searched the forum for this and found some things but not what I am looking for. I'm wanting to covert my steering. I/ve seen the UMI steering system and Fo $500 or more plus all the other things I will need to put everything back on is alot since I am fixing to rebuild my SC and do some other things to it. I guess I am looking for something else if there is any other cheaper way of doing this. I've seen where people have used just a new bar, housing and throttle trigger. Now I know this has pros and cons but it is cheaper. I want to go to go the UMI full steering but right now I can not justify the cost and I do not think the wife will like me dropping this much more money on the ski since I am doing about $1000 already on it. I have a 2007 Seadoo RXP. Any help or direction that any one can provide me will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

you can start with an aftermarket bar and finger throttle in the oem steering colum and later go to UMI sistem or other.

personally, i think the umi worth the money, the angle, high, and robustness of the system its much better than the oem.

I've thought of doing this just in the for the time being until I get more funds together. Any pics of this setup so I can see it and how it will look?

I have looked and can't find this answer... Does anyone know how to adjust the width of the racing bars that come stock on the new RXTX's? Owners manual says to take it to dealer...sure I can do it if I know what to do. Thanks

You could just do the Riva finger throttle conversion. It makes your bars a little wider and converts it to a finger throttle.

$219 plus the 10% greenhulk coupon. You can use stock grips or, I believe, aftermarket grips with it.

aftermarket ATV bars are cheap, like $60, then add ODI grips and a finger throttle and it's a budget bar setup that is better than stock. i added rox risers to mine to add a little height on my wakepro, and so i could run 1-1/8" thick bars. worth every penny! i also have the UMI switch housing. about $280 without the risers for the full setup.
