    Cleaning the engine

Was taking out my SC so I could send it off to Jerry to get rebuilt and had to stop because I did not have a wrench to take the last bolt off. Its the one in the back. Found out it is not 1/4 but 5/16 so I will have to wait to get a wrench tomorrow so I can finish taking it off. I was looking at my engine and noticed it was kind of dirty with salt spray all over it. I used to ride in Gulfport. Anyways, what would be the easiest and safest way to clean up the engine and get rid of the dried up salt spray? I was thinking Simple green and do it sort of like when I clean my engine in my truck. I warm up the engine for about 5 minutes, turn it off, spray it down with simple green, let it sit for awhile then mist it off. Does this sound good? I will have to wait though until I get the SC back and get it all back together though.

BTW, you are aware that the "last bolt" on the SC is an E8, right? (not 5/16")

    + 1 , If it's the original bolt.....

Also you can use a 1/4'' 12 point if it is the oem bolt.

    Oh and BTW

Simple green should be fine as it is neutral, and non caustic. Stay away from alot of the other degreasers, some of them are acidic and can corrode aluminum.

thats a torque one right? if it is i have no way of getting to it only a side way. I only see that a 5/16 wrench will fit and it is the factory bolt. where would i get this type of wrench and what is its actual name?

Here is what Ocman used to pull his charger. I have not had to pull mine yet but I plan on ordering one of these soon: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0070921x00003a

Bought a 5/16 box end wrench and got the last bolt out. One turn with the wrench and the rest I got out with my fingers. Now I got to wait till payday to send it to Jerry. Should I put a rag in where it was? Its in my garage.
