    Angry engine cuts out intermitted at full throtel fzr motec

    hi guys and girls have an 09 fzr running motec uped boost std intercooler and exhaust riva air box running at full throttle engine will either stop all togather or drop to 2000 rpm with no throttle response could this be the fly wire unit up front or bad mapping

    do you still have stock cooling
    if so you need to uprade the cooling
    when i first fitted a motec to my ski, mine did the same thing as yours is doing
    but only when i went over 7,000 revs for more than 10 mins
    first thing it did was start to need way more throtle input to stay at the same revs
    then it stalled and was hard to start

    seems like this problem has something to do with mapping and how ecu deals with throttle control on deceleration. I had exactly the same with Vipec and couple guys on this forum too. Check this out http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=144357 Would be interesting to see how your problem will be solved, please, keep us updated.

    HI Andy
    Sounds like the DBW calibration is not correct
    99.8 % of the time you dont need to physically calibrate it yourself you just make sure that you use the same numbers that are in our start files.
    So check that first
    The cal numbers can be found in ECU manager under
    Adjust
    Sensor Set Up
    Throttle Position hi/lo

    The numbers should be
    10.3
    90
    51.3
    94.9
    12.6
    81.4
    13.7
    83.1

    If this does not fix the problem then you will need to do a manual calibration, its possible that you have a faulty sensor
    Certainly as Gunna says post a log file and let me have a look.
