05 vs 06+ rocker shafts. . . what size hole??

I'm putting together my motor. got a 06 short block and a 05 head that I rebuilt. My original engine was an 05. so, i know i cant use the oil pressure jet because it doesn't fit in the 06 block. i do know that the oil passage in the rocker shaft is what regulates oil flow on the newer skis. question is, how big is the 06+ hole, and can i drill out my 05 rocker shaft?

No! The 06+ rocker shaft oil passage hole is considerably smaller than the 05 shaft.

Can't remember exactly... but the 05 is around .200" and the 06+ is around .070"

I don't see why not? However... a new shaft is only like $100 bucks.

I doubt it you could drill and tap it. I think it is pretty hard stuff. Of course, you could always JB weld one in, LOL! (please don't take this seriously....)
