JD & Riva are great for bolt on coolers. I use a Riva. Now going custom due to high boost app.

Im thinking the JD IC looks good...just want to avoid heat soak at all costs. Been using Riva..It does end up heat soaked after a long race!!! What are people running high boost using? Is custom the best option?

    Custom.

PROS: With the type 12 from frozenboost.com you will NEVER heat soak and will give an extra pound of boost at the inlet manifold.

CONS: Heavy. A bitch to mount. Difficult to get in and out. More suited to us River Racers than the CC or Ocean guys.

Aslo try Watsons for intercooler ideas. His runs almost as cool as mine but is a tad smaller.

I want to get an IC this spring and have been looking. I really like the Riva as it can be disassembled for cleaning, but the cons are cost $995 and BOV is $275 extra. I have been leaning twords the JD as it is a bit cheaper $799, seems to do a great job, and it includes a BOV. Any comments? Am I thinking short sided?

Looks like JD's kit except for the silicone hose from the charger to IC instead of metal.
