IMPOSSIBLE To Order 2410183 TPS - 2001 Gensis i No Body Is stocking

Anybody know where I can get a TPS for a 2001 Genesis. The 2410183 older non-pigtail. I've been waiting for weeks on an order from first polarispartspitstop and now partsland nobody bloody has them and I just found out from them........very very annoyed

It's such a common part I don't undertstand, think I'm going to have to buy a throttle body complete from a 2002 and use the new pigtail.

Anybody know about sourcing them in Australa. I just want to get my polaris up and running for the rest of summer!!

    Cheers

I don't know about the current back-order status or inventory at Polaris, but my understanding is that Polaris has been short on TPS availability for a while.

As you have surmised, switching to a 2002-2004 throttle body will work. Just make sure you can get the matching pigtail TPS for it.

There was a thread recently discussing possible TPS substitutes from the Honeywell catalog, but I don't think we had yet identified a perfect drop in match for the Polaris part(s).

Send a PM to Bernie on Greenhulk. He may have one or two TPS left over from when he hired out Polaris PWC (Perth area).

That would be most helpful. Photos of the Evinrude part would also be nice

Which Polaris TPS would this be a replacement for - pigtail or non-pigtail versions?

Man if you could find me the same part that would work on my genesis from an E-Tec outboard that would be sooo much easier to source locally. Would be greatly appreciated jase!

and yes K447 I'm looking at switching throttle bodies if I can't sort this out. Yep I'll send Bernie a PM.

Thankyou all for your help once again. These forums have really helped me out alot!

I think the Genesis TPS might be the same as a Weber TPS? Look at the image in the Weber section at [email protected] . I know its not the same as the MSX-140, but it was mentioned that the Genesis is different?

    Thanks,
    Randy

Could you post a direct link to that Weber TPS? Weber part number?

For some reason I am not seeing it, looking at www.weberpower.com

Polaris used one version of the TPS on all Ficht engines 1999-2001 (no pigtail), and a different TPS version on all Ficht engines 2002-2004 (pigtail lead). They also differed in how they mounted onto the throttle body shaft.

Is this the Weber TPS you are thinking of?

You can see examples of both Polaris Ficht TPS versions here.

I have not worked on the Weber engines, so I don't know how that TPS connects to the shaft, or what the electrical connector looks like?

I imagine that if the Weber TPS was an option for use on the Ficht engines, Jay would have mentioned it ...
