    Removing Gunwall Bolt

How do you remove and insert this bumper bolt.

After the top half of the hull is in place the bolt is inaccessable from the inside of the hull.

A screw goes in there not a allen key.
To clarify, if you take the nut off the bolt will fall into the hull and as far as I know be unable to get to. It is also impossible (apparently) to put the bolt back in due to the previously mentioned top hull covering access.

What is the bumper bolt and its significance.

This is where the rear of the upper front side trim pieces screw on. I am trying to get everything removed for paint.
I don't want a half azz job with bolts and rivets painted over.

This is driving me nuts. I spent some time laying inside the hull today. I may be losing it
I am not paying around $1,800 for a paint job to paint over bolts.

So I am going to thread the smaller bumper bolt in there (on the outside) and then attached a wire to it tightly. Then this should allow me to be able to drop the bolt out the back and drag it out. To install fish the wire back in from the inside of the hull and pull the bolt through with the wire. Put the nut on and done.

So, I did this today. Turns out it is not an issue as the bolt cannot come out from the inside. So it just sits there loose.

Suprised no one could provide this information???

    "bloody rubic's cube again LOL!!!

I am going to do the deck in Mexico Blue including the hatch, black mirror pieces, etc... An absolute favorite of mine.
The bottom will stay black. I might do some type of conservative graphics from ExoticSigns if they can come up with something.
