What Do You Guys Up North Do????

Not trying to rub it in or anything, but down here in warm SE Texas, we dont have to deal with all that snow you guys have been getting. So I was wondering stuff like, how do you get to work? If you work outdoors, what happens, is work shut down? Stuff like this is what your southern brothers are thinking.

depends on how bad storms are and were you live. the closer you live to the city then the more things get affected by snow. most of the time things dont get shut down. maybe a delayed opening. but life goes on. shit sucks. makes a mess of roads and cars. if a storm is really bad and a state issues a state of emergency then things will get shut down for the day. but its not often that happens.

Some of us have snowmobiles, some go skeetchin while some make snowmen, and some drink beer and watch porn(Not that i would do this) This is our down time to fix or mod the skis, spend time with the family and relax..As far as getting to work??this is why us northerners have 4X4s and trucks..AS for working in the snow?we are used to it..its a way of life up here..You learn to dress for the elimates and respect mother nature..As we speak we are in a record setting blizzard here in the midwest..most of us are off work except for emergency personal....they will clean the mess up tomorrow and all will be back to normal thursday ..

I guess we become products of our enviroment. I spent 16 years working outdoors on the water and it did not take me long to figure out what to wear. But I would only have to deal with it for maybe 3-4 days in a row, then we warm up here. I guess it also like when you guys come down here for MB and the heat and humidity seem horrible. To me the heat and humidity are no problem.
