    GP-18R

I have been tossing around the idea in my head and with a few other forum members - A 1.8 liter normally aspirated motor in my GPR hull. I have sold my ported cylinders and will be parting out the rest of my GPR. What would it take to make it run 80 with the normally aspirated 1.8L motor? The 1.8 is much heavier than the GPR motor and has 180 horsepower. I am thinking you need close to 200hp to make a GPR go 80. Please give me your thoughts on this. Thanks.

it'll be just like my mr-1 conversion, just faster. as long as your done chasing 0.0001mph each time you head out you'll love it. no maintenance, no sc to ruin your day. literally gas and go.

good luck finding a motor tho. . .

I'm willing to pay $6500 for a new motor and electronics vs. buying a vxr for $12,500 and having my 97 beat it stock.

165HP stock, with the mods close to 200hp I think.

    I lol'd because it's probably true...

Would be an interesting machine. Keep us informed.

So you thinking you will need maybe around 220 with this motor, due to the extra weight?
If its around 180 stock it would get you to mid 70's?

I saw a 09 FZR on Craigslist in Austin a couple days ago for $7995 with a nice trailer. That would be my route!

The FZR's are nice no doubt, but I am not into 900lbs ski's that need a supercharger to run good.
