    2000 yamaha gp1200r which fule 87 or 93?

Just wondering what you guys used for fuel on your 2 stroke yamaha gp 1200r? Does it matter if you use 87 or 93? 87 is obviously cheaper but I didn't know if there are any consequences hopefully someone can share with me if it even matters? Thanks guys this site is always helpful

a bone stock ski you`d be alright. raise the compression, add a timing key, or aftermarket cdi and you`ll need more octane accordingly.
using a 92+ octane in a ski that could run very well on 87 is wasting a few dollars at the pump. The 87 actually has a faster burn rate/flash point which is a good thing in engines designed to run 87...
on the water if there is only 89, that`s fine to...

It's stock only thing the previous owner told me he did was put an aftermarket impeller and a ride plate I believe he said. So would I be ok with the 87 then?

sure... did the original owner tell you to run premium?
do you know what engine rpm the ski turns at WOT? bc you def don`t want to be loading the engine with too much of a prop. just sayin...
