    Fatory Handlebar Pad Removal

    Holy Crap... Im putting some aftermarket bars on my 08 RXT. What a PITA getting the stock cover and pad off!! Any suggestions?

    remove the little screws and boltsin the bottom. pull the plastic apart. remove the DES post. slide it off...

    Got it.. Thanks for the reply. Just didnt want to bust the thing apart. Just snapped tougher that I had thought. Where do you mount the Dess post or attach it to after the new bars are installed?

    I used a peice of 1/8 in aluminum sheet metal. Cut, bent, and drilled it. Then bolted it to the steering stem....
