    lcd tv calibration

    Anyone know an easy way to calibrate color settings on and lcd? Tweakmytv does not have my tv settings. I know they sell dvds and stuff to help with the settings but is there any way with out buying the software.

    Its a 42" panasonic viera lcd tc-l42u25.

    Im an AV engineer. I have a number of small laptop based apps I can send you. You will just need to connect to your TV via VGA or HDMI from your laptp to use them. Then you will be away. Let me know ya email address?

    A lotta plamsa TVs are on tweakmytv. You could check there.

    meeper i found these settings for your tv if you would like to try them...

    Below you'll find the settings we found best for viewing the LG 50PK950 in a dark room via the HDMI input with a 1080p, film-based source. Your settings may vary depending on source, room conditions, and personal preference.
    Picture menu:
    Aspect ratio: Just Size
    Energy Saving: Off
    Picture Mode: Expert 2
    Contrast: 87
    Brightness: 56
    H Sharpness: 50
    V Sharpness: 50
    Color: 52
    Tint: 0

    --Expert control menu
    Dynamic contrast: Off
    Noise reduction: Off
    Gamma: Medium
    Black level: Low
    Film Mode: On
    Color Gamut: Standard
    Edge Enhancer: Off
    xvYCC: Auto [grayed out]
    Expert Pattern: Off [grayed out]
    Color Filter: Off

    Color Temperature: Warm
    Method: 2 Points [see review]
    Pattern: Outer
    Red Contrast: -18
    Green Contrast: 6

    the only one i couldnt get was the film mode it is off and grayed out, thanks i do think it looks better now
